The wonders of technology. I recently received a request for some technology tutoring. With a recent return to Canada I am currently in quarantine due to COVID-19 regulations and we have social distancing in place here in Alberta, So, I wasn't sure that I would be able to. However, ZOOM!
I just completed the first session and it worked so well I think I will be able to offer the occasional tutoring sessions remotely which makes it much more viable financially for me and and potential clients. I'm even thinking how I can do a Tech Cafe similar to the Tech Talk Cafes we used to do in High River and Okotoks. Stay tuned for developments on this front!

I am now ready to take my website in a more personal direction. At this point, I'm really not too sure what that's going to look like but decided it was time to get things moving. My goal will be to post something weekly, but I am notoriously bad at sticking to a schedule, so we will see how that pans out.
Today I made a final decision to act on something that I've been considering for some time. I deactivated my Facebook account. To anyone reading this that might think it's personal to them, please be assured that this is a decision personal to ME. I don't intend to dissect this any further but feel very relieved to be out of the eternal social media loop. That, in part, is why I decided to reopen my website. There are many people that I still would like to connect with and am hoping this platform might be more direct and personal. However, I will not tolerate any comments that veer off the topic at hand or that might be perceived as cyber-bullying. They will be deleted. Peace. |
